Why We Do Not Use Dynamic Pricing
Many hotels and booking platforms change prices constantly.
The same room can cost more during holidays, weekends, high demand periods, or even simply because you searched at the wrong time. Guests often never know whether they received a fair price or whether someone else paid much less for the same stay.
We do not want that.
Tropical Fjord is built around transparency, trust, and regenerative tourism. Our pricing follows the same principle.
You should not have to compare ten dates, refresh booking pages, or worry that the price changed overnight.
You should know what you pay.
And you should know why.

One Rate per Unit, Not per Person
Our prices are based on the accommodation unit, not on the number of guests.
That means you do not pay extra simply because you travel as a couple, with a child, or with another guest within the allowed occupancy of the unit.
We believe this is fairer.
A lodge is a lodge.
A villa is a villa.
The price should not become complicated just because your stay is shared.

No Hidden Cleaning Fees
Your accommodation rate covers the stay in your booked unit.
Depending on the unit, this includes the essential comfort features described on the respective stay page, such as private bathroom, kitchenette, terrace, air conditioning where available, filtered water, Wi-Fi, and access to the natural surroundings of Tropical Fjord.
We keep the base price clean and understandable.

What Is Not Included
These may include:

We separate these items because not every guest wants the same activities.
This keeps the accommodation price fair for everyone. You only pay for additional experiences if you choose them.

Why This Matters
Tropical Fjord is not being built as a mass tourism product.
It is a small-scale rainforest and ocean lodge project in one of Costa Rica’s rarest natural settings. We want guests who value nature, calm water, wildlife, transparency, and responsible development.
Fair pricing is part of that promise.
We do not want guests to feel pushed, tricked, or rushed by artificial scarcity or constantly changing rates.
We prefer a simple rule:

Annual Adjustments
Our rates may be reviewed once per year to reflect inflation, operating costs, taxes, maintenance, staffing, and local service costs.
But we do not change prices daily, seasonally, or based on demand peaks.
If rates change, they change openly and clearly.
Not secretly.
Not dynamically.
Not as a booking trick.
