Enjoy the privacy of a secluded rainforest retreat without being limited to a resort restaurant. Two independently operated restaurants are located within walking distance in Playa Cacao. Additional waterfront dining options are available across the bay in Golfito.
Our complimentary boat service takes you across the calm waters of Golfito Bay in approximately 5 to 10 minutes, up to three times a day.

Dining in Playa Cacao
Restaurant Playa Cacao and Siete Mares are independently operated local restaurants within walking distance of the property. Their menus, opening hours and availability are determined by the individual operators and may vary.

Up to three times a day, our complimentary boat service takes you across Golfito Bay for breakfast, lunch or dinner and brings you back after your meal. Each restaurant offers its own atmosphere, culinary style and perspective on life by the bay, in order to offer a wide selection.

La Playa
Contemporary waterfront dining at Marina Bahía Golfito
Located directly on the waterfront at Marina Bahía Golfito, La Playa offers the most refined of our three dining options. Its contemporary Latin American cuisine, relaxed marina atmosphere and elegant open-air setting make it an ideal choice for a leisurely lunch, sunset drinks or dinner by the bay.

Banana Bay
A long-standing Golfito waterfront favorite
Banana Bay is one of Golfito’s best-known marina restaurants and a popular meeting place for the town’s international boating community. Its informal waterfront setting and menu combining American favorites with Costa Rican dishes make it a relaxed choice at almost any time of day.

Mar y Luna
Traditional local flavors and fresh seafood
Owned by a long-established Golfito family, Mar y Luna offers a more traditional and distinctly local dining experience. The menu focuses on fresh seafood, Costa Rican favorites and generous dishes prepared in the style of the region.

How It Works
The two restaurants in Playa Cacao can be reached on foot. For restaurants in Golfito, let us know where you would like to dine and your preferred time. We will arrange your boat transfer across the bay and collect you again after your meal.
Complimentary return transfers are available up to three times per day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, subject to restaurant opening hours, weather conditions and operational availability.
When boat travel is not advisable, transportation may be arranged by road instead.

A Fresh and Natural Breakfast Delivered to You
For quiet mornings surrounded by the rainforest, you can order a fresh and natural breakfast delivered directly to your lodge.
The selection includes tropical fruit, muesli and natural fruit drinks. Orders must be placed by the previous evening, allowing us to prepare everything fresh for the following morning.
Enjoy a light and wholesome breakfast on your private terrace without leaving the forest.
